The Goethe's interpretations of light and color, particularly of color theory, we must emphasize some aspects of his metamorphosis theory. In the mind of Goethe the primordial forms compose all elements of nature, such as plants, animals, or even light. The primordial form, or the essence that composes all things, has as important characteristic the changing, or the metamorphosis, the metamorphosis always proceeds following the same rule: All forms evolve from the simple to the complex.

 From this conception, it's possible to understand the difficulty of acceptation of Newtonian theory. Newton's experimentation demonstrates that white light, more complex, could be decomposed into other colors of the visible spectrum, more simple. In this way, light would pass from a more complex state to a simpler one, which conflicts with Goethe's vision. 

It's possible understand that in the Goethean conception nature adopts the transition or metamorphosis to move between the most diverse stages of a phenomenon. Through metamorphosis it's possible to understand the conception of the theory that colors would be derived from a process of trans ition. 

Our metamorphosis turns into art, inspiring and being inspired by what we become and transmit. We express shapes and colors, transiting a true connection that is felt.
